Now, now - we don't need to encourage her any more than she is already doing. Believe me, it is quite enough ;)

I just want to say that I really like your sister based on the things you've said, and it really is a sibling's job to make a bet more difficult. It actually seems like you two love each other a great deal, and she's just teasing you as much as she's able. I'd do the same if I were in a bet with one of my (many) siblings - especially if they seemed to be stomping the heck out of it like you're doing. I just felt a little love needed to be sent her way. :)

Wonderful! I think we can make it.

I may have to bring my (mostly well behaved) 1 year old along... do you think this will be a problem?

It's nice to put a face to the name. For some reason, I assumed you were (how do I put this tactfully?) um, younger.

Now I'm totally convinced that your sister is being mean and unreasonable. LOL.

I'm hoping that you'll do a wrap up at the end, to kind of distill the most important things you learned or what you felt was most valuable from this experience.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with this challenge. I am now movtivated to better my family's budget, cook more yummy dishes, and finally get involved with the local food pantry. Would enjoy being at your meeting, but live too far away.

I don't remember seeing you address this particular savings tip and I think it would be beneficial to add to your guide: When your coupon is so much off a specific product of any size or Xsize or larger, you get the largest percentage savings when you purchase the smallest size allowed on the coupon.
For example: I have a coupon for $1 off 2 bottles of Western Dressing, any size. The smallest bottle is $1.55. The next size is $3 something and the next is $4 something. So $1 off is a larger percentage savings on $1.55 than 3 or 4 dollars. I'm also fortunate enough to be able to use on double coupon days and thus get two bottles of dressing for $.55 each.

I really appreciate all the tips you and other commenters have shared. While several savings options are not available to me, I am learning new ones I can use and I am really excited about being able to donate to the food pantry.

I hope you are able to keep something going on this blog after day 100. Don't want the learning to stop.

PS I think your meals are great. And they do look very yummy. Thanks for sharing.
