I know this is too late to be useful but, if you have a food dehydrator you could dry the celery then grind it up and make celery salt. You could do this instead of getting the salt from your cracker boxes.

@celery-haters
Celery is a fine vegetable, it's an "excellent source of vitamins B1, B2, B6 and C with rich supplies of potassium, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, sodium and plenty essential amino acids" and oodles of fibre.
Yes, it is marginally calorie-negative, but he wasn't just eating celery all day...

You've done great so far, but, sorry, the celery was a fail. Oh dear, that was wasted money.

@Finally Frugal

Apologies for not making it more clear - I think you got confused because the $2 money back was for each one:

$2.99 for 2 = $5.98
use coupon $5.98 - 3.00 coupon = $2.98
$2 back (for each) = $4.00 back

Final price $1.02 moneymaker

I don't understand how you came out $1 ahead with this, could you break it down? By my math (wobbly, at best), you paid .98 cents for two deodorants you didn't need, even when subtracting the $2 back. . . . ($2.99 for two = $5.98, minus $2 = $3.98, minus the $3 coupon = .98).

"One thing that was in stock was Right Guard Total Defense 5. It was $2.99 for one with $2.00 back on your next purchase. There is a $3 off 2 coupon at Coupons.com which earns about $1 to put toward something else (I will donate the deoderant to the food bank that also distributes thee items as well)."

My comment is also late, but I just had to tell you that buying celery was not a good idea when you are trying to get the most good food for your money. Celery is about the least nutritious food around - it takes more energy to chew and digest than it provides. Almost no other food has this property. Just a heads up for the future - celery sucks.

I know that this post is over a month late, but next time you buy tuna buy the kind packed in olive oil. Olive oil is a healthy fat, the tuna tastes better than tuna packed in water(especially when you have no mayo). The best part is that you can drain the tuna and use the drained oil in place of butter when you make scrambled eggs. The eggs may taste slightly like tuna, but I don't think it would be all that bad. If you keep the drained oil in the refrigerator it should keep for a while.

So the coupons that come out at Target after your receipt are not considered Catalina's right? They're just Target's promotional coupons.
