Anyone going to Walgreens based on this article had better check their local adv. before going, as what is listed here is totally different from what most (or maybe all?) of the country has for Walgreens offers for this week. This week there are good offers on Gillete/Old Spice body wash, re-nu lens solution, Aussie Hair care, and more (not only can I see the current adv., I went there today and got these items). Auqa Fresh toothpaste is on sale for $2, but no RRs. Niki, please verify what you have posted, you may have info from a different week.

In case you didn’t know, Safeway recently changed it’s policy to accept manufacturer coupons from other stores, which includes register rewards from Walgreens. This is how the Krazy Coupon Lady (who I also follow) clarified the new changes to their coupon policy. I think it might give you a LOT more food options if you use that, too.

@Single Guy

Thank you for that quick catch – Yes, Niki did put up the incorrect post by mistake. She has now put up the correct post and deals for this week, so all should be good.

@Joanna

Yes, I have heard of this. I have avoided Walgreens up to this point because there are some people that really don’t like their system (or have a lot of trouble at their particular store) and because it is a little farther away than the local CVS. I need to ask to see if my local Safeways will accept them (or more likely, educate them that they now do accept them). Being able to use the moneymakers from Walgreens at Safeway would certainly give me a lot more food options in the future.

I usually shop at CVS to take advantage of their extra bucks deals, but Walgreen’s is also right across the street so it wouldn’t be inconvenient to start shopping at both. I wondered though, do you need a Walgreen’s card in order to get the Register Rewards or is it just automatic for everyone? Thanks!

@Kellie

Yes, anyone can earn register rewards you do not need a Walgreens card.

No card necessary. It’s automatic. You just have to make sure you have one item for each coupon (doesn’t matter if the coupons are for one item and then you just buy a “filler” item ie. candy or a can of soup). Also, only one RR prints for each deal in one transaction. When I started, it took me a few times to really understand their system, but I get it now. I wish we had CVS in Seattle; it seems like they have great deals.

If you interested, slickdeals.net has a drugstore forum which lists all the deals for the week so you don’t have to do any of the work.
