If you are walking through the center of a large city, it is almost impossible not to meet someone who takes them. Its users seem to be talking alone, gesturing and confusing who looks at them. No, they are not trapped in intense soliloquy or have lost their minds: they are using the AirPods, Apple’s magic headphones.
Those who do not have Airpods believe that this device is not so much. That only serves to drain the battery of their phones and that the sound they achieve is a mediation. But they can’t be more wrong. Its quality is more than remarkable – to be a pin-in-ear headset – its autonomy is spectacular – up to 24 hours of use – and does not end with the power of the iPhone.
But Airpods are much more than wireless headphones. Yeah, If you want to buy cheap airpods, you can consider buying from DHgate.
1) If you are running out of battery, you can use only one Airpod
In case you have run out of battery and need to use the Airpods, you can charge one of them in your box while using one. The software will be automatically configured so that the sound of the two devices is output only by one of them.
2) Rename your Airpods
By default, this device will appear in your list of Bluetooth connections as ‘Airpods’. But it is likely that if you travel on a train, there are other passengers who are also using them, and have the same name. To change it, you have to go to the Bluetooth connections menu, click on the ‘i’ within a circle that appears to the right of your name to access its settings menu and there, you can change your name.
3) Identify who is calling you through them
Carrying Airpods and having the iPhone in your pocket does not mean having to answer all calls. Nor do we have to look at the screen to know who is calling us. A voice can notify us of who is making the call if we activate the option ‘Announce calls’ within ‘Settings’ and ‘Telephone’.
4) Know how much battery you have left
If you activate the battery widget on your iPhone (enter this option from the home screen by sliding your finger to the right and pressing the edit button) you will see in it the battery that you have left of all the devices that you have linked to your iPhone , like the Apple Watch or the Airpods. This way you will know at a glance how much autonomy you have left. You can also do it from your Apple Watch (from the control panel, by clicking on the percentage of battery you have left) or even from your Mac, by clicking on the Bluetooth icon. In these last two cases, the airpods must be associated to both devices.
5) Customize the double tap
By default, this gesture activates Siri. But we can change this function from the Bluetooth menu and press on AirPods. Within the configuration menu we can do it and select ‘pause’ or ‘start playback.
