When to Buy/In Season:
late November or December

How to Select:
Firm fruit, which yields to soft pressure but is not soft. There should be no breaks in the skin. Unripe kiwis will be hard.

Organic Issues:
Organic kiwi is most typically imported from New Zealand; US kiwis are typically grown through conventional farming methods.

How to Store:
Kiwi can be kept at room temperature, and will ripen upon standing. Once ripe, kiwi may be keep for several weeks in the refrigerator.
