Amazon Prime Day is almost here. You can get great deals on everything from big ticket items to everyday household items. There are also some great Amazon Prime Day grocery deals this year.

When Is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day starts at about 3 am ET on Monday July 15th, 2019. It lasts a full 48 hours. So it’s really a two-day sales event.

It’s Only Available to Prime Members

Of course, in order to take advantage of those Amazon Prime Day grocery deals, you have to have an Amazon Prime membership. If you’re already a member, then there’s no good reason not to enjoy the sales.

If you’re not yet a Prime member, then you have to consider whether or not it’s worth the membership. One option is to sign up for a free thirty-day membership. You can always cancel if you decide it’s not worth it. However, you may discover that you save enough money on groceries alone that it’s worth the annual cost for you.

Early Deal: Shop At Whole Foods ASAP

Once you have a Prime membership, the first thing that you should do is shop at Whole Foods. Prime members get good deals on groceries there. You can order them through the Prime Now service or through Amazon Fresh. If you’ve never tried that latter service before, then now is a great time. That’s because Amazon is promoting it with a special deal in which you get $15 off of orders that are $35 or more. That’s for new members only.

Moreover, Prime membership who spend $10 or more at Whole Foods will get a $10 credit to use on Amazon Prime Day. Therefore, if you order $35 of Whole Foods groceries using Amazon Fresh then you’ll get $15 off plus another $10 credit. So you’ll basically get $35 of groceries for $10. Plus, if you order groceries on Prime Day you might qualify for free 2-hour delivery windows.

That said, you don’t have to use Prime Now to get the $10 credit. You can shop in store as a Prime member and still get $10 to spend on Prime Day.
